PA Chapter, American Chestnut Foundation
The American Chestnut Foundation (TACF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the American chestnut (Castanea dentata) tree to its native forests through a scientific research and breeding program developed by TACF's founders. Through a series of backcrossed and intercrossed generations, TACF hopes to create a tree that is blight-resistant and which retains as many American chestnut traits as possible.
PA-TACF is the Pennsylvania chapter of TACF. Our mission is to restore the American Chestnut to the forests and woodlands of Pennsylvania and the mid-Atlantic states. We are a registered 501 3(c) organization.
