The approximately 8,000 acres of land under the management of the Penn State Forestland Management Office abounds with year-round opportunities for the willing outdoor enthusiast.

Public access is permitted year-round, unless otherwise posted.

All lands are easily accessible from public roads.

All lands are within a 25-minute drive from the University Park Campus and State College.

Four wheelers, three wheelers, or motorbikes are not permitted on any forest road or trail.

Hunting and fishing are permitted in accordance with current Pennsylvania game and fish laws; this includes inside deer exclusion fences, unless otherwise posted.

Primitive camping is permitted in specific areas with a free permit. To obtain a permit contact the Forestland Management Office at 814-865-6272 or e-mail psuforestmgmt@psu.edu .
