Forest Science Major
The Forest Science undergraduate degree program provides forestry education at the professional level. Three of the four degree options offered are accredited by the Society of American Foresters.
It provides the education necessary for students to pursue professional careers in one of the following options:
This major can help prepare students for forestland management positions in public and private forestry, and may also provide a foundation for graduate study.
Students begin with a sound general education in the sciences and humanities, followed by courses in ecological and managerial principles applied to managing products and services on forested lands. Students may choose supporting technical courses in managerial, biological, or social aspects of forestry.
