Wood Products Major
In the Wood Products degree program, students gain a basic knowledge and understanding of the anatomical, physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of wood, as well as a sound general education in communications, sciences, arts, humanities, and social and behavioral sciences.
Changes to this Major
The Wood Products major will be phased out beginning Fall 2013.
Current Wood Products majors and current Penn State students with an interest in Wood Products do have the opportunity to complete the existing Wood Products program. Students may declare Wood Products as a major until Spring 2015.
New students with an interest in wood products are encouraged to consider the BioProducts option of the BioRenewable Systems major.
