End-of-Year Charitable Giving

Posted: October 13, 2016

As you make plans for your end-of-year charitable giving, please consider making a donation to the Center for Private Forests at Penn State in support of its work and to help us build capacity and products.

The Center for Private Forests at Penn State was established in 2011 to ensure a lasting, dedicated means of providing high-quality educational resources and learning opportunities to those who own and care for woodlands. Through applied research and ongoing interactions with landowners, the Center focuses on understanding landowners’ needs as they relate to learning about and caring for woods. We share what we learn with our partners to guide and enrich the policies and outreach efforts benefiting forest landowners. We continue to strengthen our long-standing collaborations and build new partnerships for the benefit of woodland owners.

We can help:

  • Answer your questions about forest health and function, invasive plants, tree planting, regenerating your woodlot, and how to plan for the future stewardship of your land.
  • Equip you with practical knowledge to work with your woodlands through workshops, webinars, publications, and more.
  • Connect you with other landowners who have similar questions, experiences, and interests.
  • Identify steps to help you become an active steward of your woods.
  • Guide you to local resources, including technical assistance and help in making a plan for your land.

As you make plans for your end-of-year charitable giving, we hope you will consider making a donation to the Center for Private Forests at Penn State in support of its work and to help us build capacity and products. Please visit the Center’s webpage to make a donation directly via your credit card. We thank you for your support.
