Pennsylvania Tree Farm Committee Notes: Tree Farm Informational Meetings

This spring and summer, Pennsylvania Tree Farm Informational Meetings are being held in each of the six regions of Pennsylvania to reintroduce/relaunch the new face of the PA Tree Farm Program. With the recent changes to certification, annual fees, and integration with the Pennsylvania Forestry Association, and with the transfer to Pioneer Status for many of our Tree Farmers, a face-to-face reintroduction and explanation is essential. Hosted and facilitated by the area Tree Farm chairs, these meetings will include complimentary refreshments, a presentation on the New Face of PA Tree Farm, and ample time for questions and discussion. To facilitate travel and convenience, at least two meetings will occur in each of the six inspection areas. These meetings funded by a grant from the American Tree Farm Program are free and no RSVP is necessary. Anyone interested in finding out more about the PA Tree Farm Program and certification is welcome to attend. Come and meet with local Tree Farmers, Service Foresters, and Tree Farm Inspectors and engage in conversation regarding the new face of the PA Tree Farm Program!
