These resources are available on the Finley Center website.
It's Your Legacy: A Pennsylvania Landowner's Guide to Conservation-based Estate Planning. This 20-page publication outlines the importance of proactive estate planning, provides advice on setting goals for one's land, describes available estate planning tools and professionals to assist, and discusses the tax considerations to be explored with different strategies.
Legacy Planning Stories: How Forest Landowners "Like Me" Are Ensuring the Future of Their Land. This 32-page publication contains the stories of 12 northeastern US landowners and families, the variety of plans they are putting in place for their land, and the legacies they are creating. What landowners learn from this collection of stories will help inform their own legacy planning decisions.
Their Land, Their Legacy: A Guide to Help Inform Pennsylvania Landowners' Decisions about the Future of Their Land. This 32-page publication provides an overview of Pennsylvania's forest landowners and conservation-based estate planning as well as a roadmap for professionals to follow in introducing conservation-based estate planning to landowners.
A worksheet, entitled My Plans for the Land after Me, prompts landowners to consider their future land use and ownership preferences and outlines steps they need to take in their planning, and is a good preparatory action to share with a planning professional.
