Laura Leites is taking over responsibilities for a range-wide black walnut provenance study and our lab is starting new research projects this Fall.
In 1980, Kim Steiner established a range-wide black walnut provenance study here on the UP campus. Active research was conducted during the first couple of decades. This Fall our lab is starting new research projects aimed at understanding adaptation to climate in black walnut and broadleaf deciduous forest tree species.
