Courtney graduated in 2013 from Cornell University with a dual B.S. in Biological Sciences and Animal Science. Her undergraduate research focused on modeling and predicting insect pest populations for the New York State Agricultural Research Station.
In pursuit of her M.S., Courtney will be studying the community dynamics of a Florida refuge using occupancy modeling. This project seeks to unravel the interactions between a variety of organisms in order to inform management strategies and understand how habitat suitability changes impact these interactions and the dynamics of the Mole Salamander (Ambystoma talpoideum), in particular.
