Controlling the social and ecological impact of harmful species

Many forms of environmental change are allowing the proliferation of alien invasive species, fish and wildlife diseases, and soil and waterborne pathogens that pose problems for ecosystem health and human prosperity. The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management studies the ecological limitations of these species, builds models that forecast their spread, and generates strategies to control their impacts on ecosystems and society.
