As a member of a community of individuals who care for forests and natural resources, I value working together - with management professionals, advocates, and landowners - to implement known, sustainable practices and to develop new ideas/solutions. My work focuses on the importance of collaborative and social learning and the creation of strong, trusting, reciprocal relationships between foresters/managers and private landowners. Combining my background in forest management with my understanding of adult learning and social capital, I aim to foster collaboration among those in my community while elevating the perception of social training in forestry education.

I work as a part of a passionate team at the Center for Private Forests, engaging landowners, managers, and the public to promote and apply sound stewardship practices, to provide guidance and resources, and to promote the improvement of the health and vitality of private forests. Together and with our partners, we strive to protect PA's private forest landscape through research, education, and outreach to all stakeholders.
