Xin Chen and Zhiyue Xia present their research.

Xin presented his work "Improving species distribution models by accounting for land-use legacies: a case study of tree species distributions in northeastern forests" in poster format. He received a US-IALE travel award and a Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences travel award to attend the conference. He also presented his research in poster format at the Penn State Graduate Exhibition and at the Penn State CAS Gamma Sigma Delta Research Expo this spring 2018.

Zhiyue presented a seminar on her work "Harnessing the power of geospatial data with random forest to forecast gypsy moth outbreaks". She also presented her research in poster format at the Penn State Graduate Exhibition and at the Penn State CAS Gamma Sigma Delta Research Expo this spring 2018.
