Environmental Policy Goddard Chair Group
Welcome to the Environmental Policy Goddard Chair Group. We are a team of students, postdocs, and faculty working on transdisciplinary science and policy engagement in the following areas:
- Watersheds, high mountain hydrology, and glacier loss
- Forest land use and climate-smart forestry
- Natural resource conservation and policy
- Water-energy-food nexus, water security, and transboundary waters
- Energy transitions, renewables, and carbon mitigation
- Climate adaptation and resilience
Much of our research follows a social-ecological systems approach, with ongoing projects in the Appalachians, Alleghenies, Andes, and Himalayas
We work in collaboration with stakeholders in public agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector in Pennsylvania, the Mid-Atlantic and U.S. West, as well as in Latin America and South Asia.
Students and faculty interested in working in our Group should contact Dr. Christopher Scott
