The Maurice K. Goddard Chair in Forestry and Environmental Resource Conservation supports science-policy dialogue forums on a range of environmental challenges of relevance in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region. The objective of the Goddard Forum is to build shared vision among decision-makers, the public, and research and extension professionals to advance evidence-based policy engagement.

The Goddard Forum 2025 brought together a diverse group of experts, practitioners, and community members to address the multifaceted challenges of flood mitigation and resilience. The forum was preceded by site visits to flood-impacted areas along the Susquehanna River, presenting real flood risk challenges to the participants.
2024 forum focused on climate-smart forestry, including carbon management and timber harvesting.
