Joshua Gershey received a first place award at Penn State Undergrad Research Exposition for his poster presentation on combined effects of climate change and competition in black walnut. Josh's research was supported in the Spring 2021 semester by a Schatz Center Undergraduate Research award.

Josh's research on the effects of climate change and competition in black walnut was conducted with Dr. Laura Leites, Associate Research Professor of Quantitative Forest Ecology in the Department of Ecosystem Science & Management. Josh's research was also supported by an undergrad research award in Fall 2020 from the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences. Following is the award announcement -
