Alumni and Friends Banquet 2020

March 12, 2020, update: This event has been canceled.

As one action of many in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Penn State announced yesterday that all classes will be held remotely from March 16 through at least April 3. Classes are not in session this week due to Spring Break. In addition, all non-essential events are to be canceled, rescheduled, or offered virtually at least through April 6.

Though the date of our alumni banquet (April 25) is outside of Penn State’s current cancellation window, the Forest Resources Alumni Group board of directors has decided that it is prudent to cancel our event as well. The health and well-being of our alumni and guests and our communities are a priority, and we made our decision with that in mind.

Banquet registrations received to date will be returned. We regret any inconvenience, and we will truly miss this annual gathering of our alumni and friends. Our alumni group does plan to host another football tailgate this fall, so that’s something to look forward to in addition to next year’s banquet.

Please take care of yourselves and others by following the CDC recommendations.
