Graduate and undergraduate training in forestry, wildlife, and other natural resources will be enhanced by The Center through increased exposure to the challenges of managing private forests, working with their owners, and the suite of private forest stakeholders. The Center will involve graduate students in meaningful research and outreach interactions to foster trans-disciplinary learning and encourage undergraduate student participation in projects to increase their exposure to the diverse needs of forests and owners. The curriculum for the Department of Ecosystems Science and Management in Forestry address private forestland issues and owners.
