Pennsylvania Insect and Disease Update

Timothy Tomon, Area Forest Pest Management Specialist, Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, Division of Forest Health, Jill Rose, Forest Pathologist, Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, Division of Forest Health, and Sharon Coons, Forest Health Program Specialist, Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, Division of Forest Health. Tim, Jill, and Sharon will discuss the status of the primary insects and diseases impacting Pennsylvania's forests. This includes gypsy moth (and other defoliators), hemlock woolly adelgid, emerald ash borer, thousand canker disease, and others. They will also address the Bureau's suppression, treatment, and monitoring programs as they apply to various forest pests.
