This webinar will discuss the benefits of downed woody materials to streams, as well as current methods of restoring this critical ecosystem component.
Historically, streams in Penn’s Woods looked much different than they do today. Fallen woody debris in stream channels and floodplains had a profound effect on stream-valley ecosystems, and the removal of those materials often had unintended consequences.
