This webinar will discuss what deer keds are, their life history, and recent research aimed at answering some of these basic, but important, questions.
Deer keds are blood-feeding flies that primarily feed on deer and sometimes bite people. There is concern that deer keds may transmit pathogens to humans and between animals. However, a lot of basic information about their natural history and distribution remains unknown.
