This webinar focuses on the many isolated populations of Brook Trout in Pennsylvania.
When we think of invasive species, we generally equate them with organisms from other countries or continents (e.g., Gypsy Moth, Japanese stiltgrass, Chinese carps, etc.). But the movement of native wild populations (caused by people), may also threaten unique occupants of isolated areas. This webinar focuses on one example of this in Pennsylvania – the many isolated populations of Brook Trout. The introduction of hatchery Brook Trout or the movement of wild Brook Trout from other streams may severely threaten our isolated native forms.
