Attendees will visit Laurel Summit to learn about wetland plant ecosystems and land use history of the bog area,  and the Grove Run Picnic Area and to learn about forest ecology and the special plants in the WPS. We'll break for lunch at meet at Laurel Summit.

The topics for this program include brief overview of plant taxonomy, plant ID/common plants of that area, plant phenology and climate change impacts, research in those areas or related to those plant communities, and stewardship. This workshop is a partnership between the Bureau, Western PA Conservancy, and Powdermill  Nature Reserve. On the program are several botanists, ecologists, and naturalists from these agencies.
