The Pennsylvania Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources is in the process of revising their Forest Action Plan and Bureau of Forestry Strategic Plan. You are invited to share you feedback.

Dear Friends of Pennsylvania's Forests,

The forests of Pennsylvania, or Penn's Woods, provide countless benefits and services to its citizens, including clean air and water, recreation opportunities, wood products, and habitats for thousands of plants and animals. Understanding the status and condition of the 17 million acres of forest within the Commonwealth is necessary to conserve it for future generations.

The Bureau of Forestry is in the process of revising the Pennsylvania Forest Action Plan and the PA Bureau of Forestry Strategic Plan. We are currently compiling stakeholder input at various levels and among various groups through surveys, focus group meetings, and facilitated discussions. We are reaching out to forest landowners, stakeholders, and interested individuals with an online survey to help us understand their priorities and concerns.

These planning efforts will allow the bureau to evaluate current forest conditions and trends, identify priority issues, delineate priority landscapes, and set the stage for developing a strategy for achieving long-term forest sustainability.

Please consider sharing the survey link to this anonymous survey with others. We will keep the survey open until June 30th.
