Forest landowners and aspiring landowners from across the mid-Atlantic region are invited to attend the Women and Their Woods 2020 Virtual Educational Retreat to learn more about managing their forestland and connecting with other forest landowners.

As guidance continues to unfold regarding the gathering of groups in the Fall of 2020, Delaware Highlands Conservancy and its partners are poised to offer the 2020 retreat online. Through 8-12 hours of online presentations and 12 hours of facilitated and discussion-based learning opportunities, as well as meeting materials, supplies, and resources shipped directly to you prior to the start of the retreat, participants will explore a broad range of topics including tree ID, forest measurements, water, wildlife habitat, legacy planning, forest ecology, creating a management plan, silviculture, and invasive plant ID and control. Online presentations will be available to participants to view at their own pace starting September 1. Virtual meetings will take place 6-8 p.m. every other Thursday starting September 10 through November 19. The final meeting will include a virtual field tour and landowner visit.

Cost per applicant is $150 (scholarships may be available) Visit www.delawarehighlands.org/watw/ for more information and to apply by August 1. Registration limit: 30.
