AT Journeys - Disappearing Giants

An article from the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) documenting the work of Mark and Betty Gatewood to both maintain a section of the Appalachian Trail and promote the Mega-Transect Chestnut Count Project. Mark and Betty maintain their section as part of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. They trained for the Mega-Transect project in 2008 and have collected data along their section of trail every year since.
